Please note that deliverable 2 of the BETEL project (Test Report)
is now available via anonymous ftp from dxcoms.cern.ch as well as
miscellaneous other documents related to the project:
/pub/betel/betel-d02.ps (420970 bytes)
/pub/betel/betel-d02.ps.Z (158144 bytes)
The document is fairly big (50 pages), and was converted to Postscript
from Words 5.0 on a Mac. It has also been successfully printed on an
Apple Laser Writer printer.
BETEL is one of the 4 projets selected in DIVON as a result of the
DION call for proposals, and the short summary below has already
been posted onto various distribution lists.

I2003 - BETEL (Boadband Exchange over Trans-European Links)

The aim of the BETEL project is to demonstrate over optical fiber
links multimedia applications with high data rate transmissions. The
optical platform interconnects CERN (Geneva), IN2P3 (Lyon), EPFL
(Lausanne) and Eurecom (Sophia Antipolis) since September 1993.
