MBone-WG Agenda for RIPE-29

Hello!

This is the draft agenda for the MBone-Working group at the next RIPE
meeting which will happen in Amsterdam, 28th - 30th of January 1998:

1. Administrative Issues (5min)
        Agenda bashing
        Acceptance of last meetings minutes
2. Open Action Points (5min)
3. This RIPE meeting's on air! (10min)
        background information how it's being done
4. Cisco's latest information about IOS features (20-30min)
        Presentation by Cisco
        Q and A with Cisco engineer (Graca Cavalho, Cisco)
5. Latest protocol updates (Reliable multicast) (10min)
        from IETF (Martin Horneffer, or Axel Clauberg, Uni Koeln)
        from other standards bodies (ITU, etc.)
6. Proposal of a revised mbone topology for the european NRNs
	over ten-34. (Roberto Sabatino, Dante)
7. Implementation updates (10min)
        Example: VocalTec's InternetPhone 5.0  OR
                Microsofts NetShow player - features
(x. MPEG-Layer3 information by Fraunhofer Institute, Erlangen)
        (confirmation expected - this or next meeting...)
[       Volunteers for next meeting's topics:
                Multicast distribution over satellite (Iridium)?
                High bandwidth transmissions using Multicast (>2Mb)
                Experiences with Media transcoders TV/VCR->Mpeg->H.xxx]
