Are you positive?  One of the packets should just fail its rpf check
and broodjeham will drop it.

Cisco's IOS until very recently (11.2F) does not pay attention to
the tree that gets built by the DVMRP route exchange; it floods
traffic towards DVMRP neighbors.  The extra traffic you are seeing
from the Cisco could be because of this problem.  Your DVMRP
router will drop it properly, it just puts a little more load on
the links and the router.
