actually, i don't even see the point for a discussion here - i rather
think this is a standard procedure for every serious mailinglist.

"just do it" - on every list.
The Listmanager shouldn't forget to inform the poor little 
person about unsubscribing him/her though.
Might just be an accident, people get forced to use such things
like auto-responders from time to time and have no control
about what it does :-}

One can re-subscribe at any time after (s)he fixed the "little problem".
