BGPDNS for example. Host is asking BGPDNS which destination IP to
take. BGPDNS server sorts a DNS reply with multiple A (AAAA) records
according to BGP selected preference. Have a look at www.nrg4u.com
right column.

Not that I'm a fan of the current IPv6... It's too broken wrt the
issues the previuous posters have told.
