EIX Working Group Meeting at RIPE 29

This to announce that the first formal meeting of the "EIX"
(European Internet Exchange) Working Group will take place at the
RIPE 29 meeting, on Thu 29th Jan.

We have both the 09:00 to 10:30 and 11:00 to 12:30 slots booked, but
expect most if not all the business will take place during the first
slot.

There is an outstanding action on me to create a charter, but the
remit of the group is very simple (so I should have something ready
for the meeting):

  This is an opportunity for all European Exchange point operators to
  present to the ISPs attending the RIPE meeting their current status
  and activities.

Here is a draft agenda:

	1. Appointment of scribe
	2. Agenda bashing
	3. Minutes of last meeting
	4. Working Group Charter 
	5. Presentations from IXPs:
		- A
		  through
		- Z
	6. Updates on other known European IXP activity
	7. AOB

This notice is going out on both the mail list dedicated to this
working group, eix-wg@localhost, and to the EOF list, the group
which used to include this remit. If interested I recommend that you
subscribe to the EIX list for future information about EIX activity
(which will be mostly meeting agendas and minutes).

I would appreciate, and apologise for the short notice, if any IXP
operators who would like to make a presentation could let me know if
they wish to do so ASAP, and I will re-circulate a detailed agenda
listing participants at the end of this week.
