Hi,
I received a large amount of responses on my message of Friday.
Apperently many people are interested, and therefore I'm posting
the summarized results so far.

A few notes:
- - Just after my announcement, I received some reports saying that they
could not get though, but it worked after a few minutes.
Hickup?
- - Special thanks to UUnet for retesting - I could not explain
the first results either but it works now.
- - I messed up the advisory attribute for 39.13.5.0/24 (wiping egg of face).
As a result, people that need ANS as transit reported that they could
not reach us. This will be fixed after tuesday's reconfig.
- - Apperently there is a serious problem with EMPB.
They do not announce any 'subnet' CIDR announcements,
only supernets, which means that none of the exp39 subnets are announced
by EMPB. Will get in touch with them; I hope it is only a config problem.
The report from Italy reposted that they saw a different path for
exp39 than for the rest of the network, hence my comment there.
- - There is a problem between Dante and DFN in Aachen. Will get in touch
with them too. There is no obvious reason as this is a 7000 talking
to a 4500, which is a proven combination....
I will likely have to postpone the renumbering a day to give people
a fighting chance to fix things. Note that this will not buy people
much time as the IETF terminal room will use net39 too...
Many thanks to all the people who responded so far!
If you want to get involved now, please:
1. Try to ping exp39.ripe.net
If it works, you're fine.
2. If it doesn't work, traceroute exp39.ripe.net and whois.ripe.net
and send me the output of both.
I think that exp39@localhost is the most appropiate place to discuss this.
Cheers,
Geert Jan
