E. Euro-IX Update
F. 40/100GbE IEEE & Progress update - Greg Hankins
G. Some IPv6 observations at AMS-IX - Arien Vijn
AMS-IX share some bugs that are clearly vendor specific and related to
IPv6. They also encountered an issue that required some (apparently not
too clear) configuration changes for Cisco routers.
H. Results of the Peering Configuration Survey
Greg Hankins (Force10)
Ren Provo (Comcast)
Tom Scholl (AT&T
What is it?
- New survey on how people configure peering!
- Featuring technical questions on what protocols and features are used
- No questions on facilities, IXs, or policies
How did it work?
- The survey was here: http://tinyurl.com/3xoa6g
(http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=hy_2bvVcxxszICLYRFzPAjMw_3d_3d)
Example Questions:
- Do you use IPv6 unicast BGP peering?
- Do you use BFD?
- Do you use four byte ASNs (RFC 4893)?
- What is the largest frame size you use on peering links?
- What is your biggest concern when deploying a new feature?
- Note: is it OK to say that you don't know what a feature is
What is the purpose of the survey?
- Identify trends in feature and protocol deployment
- Educate the community on features and best practices
I. Doing the Reverse Time Warp - Mike Hughes
J. v6 Numbering Plan @ Netnod - Kurtis Lindquist
K. Joint v6 BCP with SANOG - Guarab Raj
