Has there been any progress in this effort since January? I haven't
seen any responses on this mailing list.

Also, I've heard that there is some sort of a project within RIPE to
provide PI IP addresses for exchange points. Can anyone tell me more
about that?

Would the exchange point need to be a LIR?
