Sorry for the late response.

We use the "Please update filters" messages from our peers as follows:
Upon receipt of such a message, we regenerate the filters from IRR
information.  Then we either confirm that we now accept the routes
mentioned in the message, or we ask the peer to put them in the IRR.
Do you regenerate all your filters, or just the ones for that peer? And do you regenerate them otherwise?

I.e. do you NEED the messages, or is it just an additional layer of sanity checking?
