It may be worth pointing out that, at least at CERN, a number of providers 
prefer to interconnect via DTE-DCE connections between their routers rather 
than through the IXP itself, which has a number of obvious advantages as well 
as some disadvantages. But, as this is clearly affecting the statistics it is 
worth keeping it in mind.
