Besides the excellent advice from John Brown, do note that OpenReg, as
its documentation says, was made for "ICANN registries", which means
for large gTLD with large registrars, having enough money and time to
develop their part of the registration system (the EPP client, for
instance).

OpenReg has only one interface, the EPP one. So, all of your resellers
will have to develop EPP knowledge, which may be too much for them.

If you wish to go the EPP way (a moving target!), you can point your
resellers toward existing free software for the EPP client:

* IRI (http://open.gandi.net)
* EPP-RTK (http://epp-rtk.sourceforge.net)

On the server side (yours), and if you already have a lot of nice CGI
to manage the registry, mod_epp may interest you:

Also, I believe that your question would be more appropriate on the
CENTR mailing lists, since you are a member of CENTR.
