4.9.3 is still under beta test - though it is hoped to see the final
release version this week! the current version is beta 14.
I have not yet updated my "state of BIND versions" note to track
the rapidly changing beta versions of the last few weeks;
until the 4.9.3 version is released, information from my note probably
is still pretty good advice for sites that do not want to get involved
in testing of the new BIND version. The stuff still can be found at
ftp://ftp.DIGI.DE/DNS/src/bind/IMPORTANT-NOTE
For those interested in the most current beta find Paul Vixie's
announcement attached below.

We did Beta13 privately (on bind-workers@localhost) and came up with a few minor
nits which are fixed in this cut. Beta14 will be virtually indistinguishable
from 4.9.3-Rel (which I've been calling "Final") unless someone finds a bug
which is (a) serious and (b) not related to portability.

And the **NEW** disclaimer for the odd way my network and ftp servers work:
``Note that my supply of sympathy for those of you who won't "ftp" me
because you can't "ping" me, or won't "get" the files because you
cannot "ls" them, or can't "get" the file you've been told about
because you only provided one argument to "get" and have no /pri
directory on your local host, has just about run out. Just Do It.''
