[db-wg] how to ensure the whois records have valid email addresses ?

Hello,

Many times I noticed that the email adresses provided by the whois
database of RIPE were wrong. I wonder what we could do.

For example, querying the RIPE whois database with the below command:
---
whois -h whois.ripe.net 87.14.213.17
---

provides the below result:
---
(...)
e-mail: ripe-staff@localhost
(...)
---

However it appears that the "ripe-staff" mail account is undefined on the "telecomitalia.it" mail server. This means that my Spam complaints never reach the network admin team. This was just 1 of many kind of invalid emails I found in the whois database (invalid domain, invalid account, mailbox over quota, the Spam I attached made my complaint discarded as a Spam, my email address was rejected, ...)

What about automatically checking the email domain validity ?

What about validating each email adress the first time they are registered ?

Where to report the invalid email contacts in order to ensure the whois
database has only valid emails ?

Thanks for your help.

Regards.
