    PS I think the country code should 00 for whole world since as
    countries split - who knows if ZZ or any two letters will be
    used in the future.

At the iso 3166 Maintenance Agency, there is a list of country codes
which can be used for private use. I suggest you pick one of those
instead of inventing your own.
