I have raised this issue in the DB-WG at RIPE-25. It was definitely
considered a *bug* (not a feature :)).
I was asked to repeat the experiment and send a "warning" message with
the details to ripe-dbm@localhost soon after that, in order to help them
identify the problem. I apologise publicly, because I must admit I forgot
to do so...
