From the source code (Probably most definitive ;-)):

"delete attribute must contain email address and reason for delete"

I cannot find any document describing it.
May be anybody else knows documentation ? Marten/Tony ?

I proposed the RIPE community a new whois flag combination.

We now have :

$ whois -t aut-num

aut-num:     [mandatory]  [single]
as-name:     [optional]   [single]
descr:       [mandatory]  [multiple]
as-in:       [optional]   [multiple]

[..]

I proposed to the RIPE database working group the new (verbose)
combination :

$ whois -tv aut-num

aut-num:     [mandatory]  [single]
             The 'aut-num' objects describes the ...
             Syntax:
as-name:     [optional]   [single]
             The 'as-name' attributes describes the ...
             Syntax: ...

I think most people liked this idea and it should solve this never ending
story about 'what is this object/attribute for ???'
When I have time I will start implementing this.

Kind regards,
