Hi
I have been studying the Root-servers function. Right now I am having some problems with understanding how the system with multiple locations.
Do we have 13 physical root-servers or do we allot more?

When I was reading on the root-server website (http://www.root-servers.org/) the root-server F for instance has 43 sites, dose this mean 43 gateways to the one physical server or what are these 43 sites?

I have been reading at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System to try and find the answers, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Thank you for your help
