It is.  Of course, you also get rid of some other email too.

Is it worth it?  Maybe.  Only you can say.

I've been blocking HTML email for *years*, and my livelihood hasn't
been detectably affected.  Perhaps you're being equally blinkered by
your environment, only in the opposite direction?
