Most of the ones that reach me are coming out of uu via their dialup
pools not relayed off someone else.

Fine, however filling the already bursting mailboxes of overstressed
admins pointing out that dialup-x dialup-y and leased-line-z are open
relays (one mail per-"offence").  Isn't the way to do it.

One mail/netblock listing all the open relays in the netblock wouldnt
be too bad but that still means I'm likely to get 10-15 emails just
down to punters who've got a badly configured sendmail listening on
their dialup linux box.

I'm fine with the MAPS approach which appears to be careful and makes
attempts to get the problem cleared up without the appearance of being
heavy handed about it.

Orbs come across as vigilanties IMHO.
