Revised Report on Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) Available

IMC has revised it's popular report on the proposed solutions for
Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE), better known as "spam". The changes to the
report were based on the very valuable responses IMC received from the
first report. The changes include a new description of proposed economic
solutions to UBE, information on identifying known UBE senders for
heuristic filters, discussion of message-based heuristic filtering based on
whether the recipient had accepted mail from that sender before, and a new
description of how anti-fraud and anti-trespass laws can help help some
filters. The revised report can be found at
