Specifications) is available via anonymous ftp from dxcoms.cern.ch:

The document is fairly big (70 pages), and was converted to Postscript
from Words 5.0 on a Mac. It has also been successfully printed on an
Apple Laser Writer printer.

BETEL is one of the 4 projets selected in DIVON as a result of the
DION call for proposals, and the short summary below has already
been posted onto various distribution lists.

links multimedia  applications with high data  rate transmissions. The
optical platform  will interconnect CERN (Geneva),  IN2P3 (Lyon), EPFL
