Some of you may be interested in the following:

Version 3.0 of the NIR Status Report (24th March 1993) is now
available via anonymous ftp from: mailbase.ac.uk

filename: /pub/nir/nir.status.report

It is about 8000 lines long.
 
This report includes information on NIR (networked information
retrieval) Tools such as archie, gopher, WAIS and World Wide Web and
NIR Groups.  It includes new appendices and will be discussed at the
NIR WG meeting at the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) next
week.  It is the result of a joint RARE/IETF WG.
