Dear PRIDE Discussion List,

Please note that first version of the PRIDE guide is now available. This acts
as a full companian text for the current PRIDE tools and RIPE routing resgitry
as well as the PRIDE course.

Everyone involved in using the registry and tools is advised to look at this
document. Comments are of course always welcome. 

This can be retrieved from:

ftp.ripe.net:pride/docs/guide-1.0.ps.tar.Z

or 

ftp.ripe.net:pride/docs/guide-1.0.txt.tar.Z

This package contains a small script to print the document correctly.

FTP Access
----------
PRIDE tools are available via anonymous FTP
from host ftp.ripe.net.  Type "ftp ftp.ripe.net". 

Login with username "anonymous" supplying your email address as the 
password.  After logging in, type "cd pride/docs" followed 
by the commands, "bin" and then "get guide-1.0.ps". 


Electronic Mail Retrieval of Files
----------------------------------
Files can also be retrieved from the RIPE document store using a
mail server program.  For more information on how to use the program,
send email to: mail-server@localhost with "send HELP" in the body text. 

MIME Mail Reader
----------------
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant Mail Reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the Tools release.
