The sheduling of the event was dependent on factors that are difficult 
to predict such as the length of the registration services 'wait queue'
and other time critical work. I am sure that everyone prefers short 
notice over weeks of notice with the chance of interrupting critical
work or aggrevating an already long backlog. 

Besides: Does everyone keep up-to-date on Dutch public holidays?
