Daniel,
You could move one of the RIPE meetings to the time that the AGM
is, its really not rocket science! 

I strongly disagree with your assumption on the attendance being low and

its concerning that you have a view that "if nobody is complaining then 
things must be ok". That is a very worrying statement.
