We have to be careful here. Suppose the calculations re: self-financing
are done on the basis of previous numbers attending meetings. Then the
price to attend the meeting would naturally rise. This will result in a
drop-off in numbers attending, which will mean the price rises again, etc.
Much better to do a phased introduction of this, if it's to be done.

Personally speaking I'm in favour of meeting attendance being as cheap
as possible "for the little guy" but I can understand the rationale
behind not desiring subvention of one class of attendees (or non-attendees)
by another.
