Which is a (serious?) waste of address space, since it requires at least two
times the same assignment. On the other hand, it saves one ASN and one
potential new buggy AS is kept away from the BGP4, so it probably evens out.

On the other hand, NAT _is_ a _kludge_ for multihoming.

But the ISP who really thinks his customer needs his own AS and is capable of
setting it up (or having it setup for them) is probably also able to convince
RIPE NCC they need PI...
