DNSMON appears to be down, the redirect to leads to a timeout. Would this data be available over there? The timeout you experienced with DNSMON may have been transient. If you're still experiencing problems accessing it, please do contact with more details, and my Information Services colleagues will take a look. DNSMON has no access to any of the servers for any zones, so it can't know about query rates on any of the servers it probes. Therefore, it won't provide you with the kind of data that you're asking about. -- Anand Buddhdev DNS Services Manager, RIPE NCC From fweimer at bfk.de Mon Apr 27 12:20:06 2009 From: fweimer at bfk.de (Florian Weimer) Date: Mon, 27 Apr 2009 12:20:06 +0200 Subject: [enum-wg] Re: Query statistics for e164.arpa on ns-pri.ripe.net In-Reply-To: <49F07CF9.60201@ripe.net> (Anand Buddhdev's message of "Thu, 23 Apr 2009 16:36:41 +0200") References: <823ac0hn3k.fsf@mid.bfk.de> <49F07CF9.60201@ripe.net> Message-ID: <82ljpms8ix.fsf@mid.bfk.de> * Anand Buddhdev: >> do you publish query traffic statistics for e164.arpa (especially >> absolute numbers)? > > We do not publish traffic statistics for the e164.arpa zone. You've published relative numbers for different country codes in the past, that's why I was wondering if absolute numbers were available, too. > The timeout you experienced with DNSMON may have been transient. It was, it was working for me a few minutes later. That's true, we've done that in the past. However, those statistics were collected over a short period, from all the name servers of the e164.arpa zone. In general, we do not collect query statistics continuously from all the name servers, so we can't publish absolute numbers.
