Currently there are 6 TF members. We are still talking to 3 other people who may be interested in joining the TF. The current group consists of: Manfredo Miserrochi - mis at wari.net Janos Zsako - zsako at 3c-hungary.hu Wilfried Woeber - Woeber at CC.UniVie.ac.at Johan Beijert - jbeijert at quova.com Denis Walker - denis at ripe.net Jochem de Ruig - jochem at ripe.net Wilfried, being chair of the DB-WG, is currently listed as chair of the task force. He already has multiple functions and tasks and is quite busy and will be very busy at the RIPE meeting, he has indicated that he would favor someone else chairing the TF. If someone would like to step forward please let us know. We can conclude who will be chair as our first topic on the agenda when we meet. The first meeting of the TF is scheduled at the RIPE 54 meeting in Tallinn. The best slot we could find is on Monday 7 May at 11:00 - 12:30 Please let us know if you will be able to make it to this first meeting. Attached to initiate the work of the TF, we send you a summary document of the issues we noted and the legal framework we at the RIPE NCC are proposing. This framework was set up in close cooperation with our lawyers. >From this we have started working on some documents and over the course of the coming weeks we will work and deliver two major documents: - a RIPE NCC privacy statement - a set up of terms and conditions for the database and an overall framework for term's and conditions for our website The third item on our list will be to draft a new Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). General information regarding the TF can be found on: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/tf/dp/index.html Regards, Denis & Jochem -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... My flight is in the morning of Monday 7th and I'm expected to land in Tallin at 17.50, so I can't attend the meeting Monday morning. Due family duties, it's impossible for me to travel on Sunday. I propose the TF itself to choose the chair at the first meeting. FYI, I still have some slots in my busy time, so I could serve.
