It is not worth it, specially for fifteen minutes of maintenance. The DNS protocol can handle the lack of response from a server, without any problem. There is no need for the RIPE-NCC to bother with "Five nines" reliability, not only because this is a "best effort" and gratis service, but also because the DNS does not require it.
