Steve Linford has run been running Spamhaus for several years now,
entirely at his own expense for the benefit of the Internet community
in general. It is the best run and most professionally operated
DNSBL in existence, which an extremely large number of sites have
come to rely upon.

I believe that any suggestion that Steve has now decided to "cash in",
in any way, on his reputation to create an anti-spam related business
is a long way off the mark. Whether or not the .mail proposal is a
good idea, the idea that it is likely to be (or is intended to be)
a money spinner for its organisers is improbable.
