    	I've argued before that there are cases where people *are*
    	interested in UCE.
    Excuse me for assuming this was an *anti* spam list.
It is. But if you have followed the whole long
discussion, you would know that "spam" is not
necessarily or always the same as UCE.

    I'm not trying to revive religious discussions, but
    this pro spam standpoint bothers me a lot

    Perhaps there are a few interested in receiving on
    their own terms, but are THEY prepared to PAY for
    that service ?
People pay for an e-mail service. If they wish
so, that should comprise [specific] UCE.

    The total bill is high
The total bill for other crap is much higher.
Yet ISP's don't try to act as god by denying
their customers access to "certain" websites
and clogging their lines with the "graphics"
found there, even though this clogging goes
at the expense of *all* their customers.
