It's not a matter of laziness or not, but a matter of time and money. I mean, should I use my own time and my company's money to fix something not belonging to me/us? Of course, I won't argue that someone might say YES, and this is very generous. But discarding generosity from someone full of resource (time, money), I doubt this YES means a majority.
