Support for "chronos.eu.net" will stop on 1/11/2003

Last year, during the shutdown of the EUnet network, the RIPE NCC offered to temporarily host its NTP server, "chronos.eu.net" (192.16.202.3), by aliasing the address to one of our NTP servers. The idea was to give people a chance to find an alternative NTP server.

Over the last year, the number of users of this NTP server has slowly decreased to almost zero.

We will therefore no longer support the "chronos.eu.net" (192.16.202.3) NTP server from 1 November 2003.

The machine hosting the NTP server will continue to run an NTP server under its regular name:

rolex.ripe.net
193.0.0.228

If you still need an NTP server for a small number of machines, feel free to use this machine. If you want to synchronise a large number of machines, then please contact us to work out a better solution.
