- Organization: RIPE NCC
Dear All,
RIPE NCC is pleased to announce the RIS project's Route Collector at
MAE-West, our first presence in North America:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RRC08 is located at MAE-West in San Jose, California. It has been
operational since May 7th, 2002, and is our ninth active Remote Route
Collector. RRC08 collects BGP routing information from IX members who
are willing to peer with the RIS project. All MAE-West members are
welcome to peer with RRC08.
Our details:
- IP address: 198.32.200.157
- Autonomous system: 12654
- Email: rispeering@localhost
Please send your peering requests to the address above or use the web
form at URL: http://www.ris.ripe.net/cgi-bin/peerreg.cgi?rrc=rrc08
Peering Policy: http://www.ripe.net/ris/rrc08.html
The Routing Information Service, which started as a modest RIPE NCC
project in 1999, has gradually grown to over 190 peers at nine data
collection points in Europe, Japan and, now, North America. Our mission
is collecting BGP routing information over a function of time and making
it available to the community in a variety of services. In essence, this
means creating tools, that can help ISPs debug problems over time
without being limited to a BGP view, and providing the community with
"raw data" regarding the historical development of the Internet.
