NOTIFICATION: All RIS services restored

RIS Notification:
-----------------

We are happy to announce the restoration of all RIS services and
elimination of the time gap in our database. The RIS database now
contains a consistent data-set from January, 2002, until the present day
for all Remote Route Collectors with the exception of RRC00, for which
January's routing information has been omitted. We decided on skipping
the first month of 2002 for RRC00 as it would take too long to complete
the insertion, mainly due to the vast amount of data collected.

We have also taken actions to better the overall performance. These
steps have noticeably improved RIS query performance. However, it would
be particularly interesting to hear about responsiveness and usability
from your perspective. Feedback is more than welcome and can be sent to
ris@localhost.
