The current problem facing Gateway Gulf (I believe this is true but ask
Ahmad, don't take my word for it), is that they couldn't cut a reasonable
deal with Flag that does not involve Batelco. Still, they are in the process
of licensing in Oman as well. That might work out better for them.

I don't know of anything substantive in the gulf. There's the Gateway
Gulf project, but it seems to have stalled out.
In the region more generally, there's an I near completion in Beirut.
There's the long-established on in Cairo. And there are small ones in
Cyprus and Tel Aviv, if you consider them "in region." The Afghanis have
been on the verge of getting one going in Kabul for a while.
