[Apologies for duplicates]
Dear Colleagues,
The RIPE NCC recently upgraded its DNSMON service, adding new
functionality and improvements. The final step in this process will
be the launch of the new website, which will happen at approximately
09:00 (UTC), 4 October 2007, and may take up to 30 minutes to
complete, due to DNS TTL restrictions.
During this time you may be unable to access either the old or new
servers.
As well as various internal cleanups and corrections, this update
will provide the following:
* Asynchronous plot requests using AJAX technologies.
* More granularity on the subscriber-only access data views
* XHTML/1.0 compliance
* Better usage of available hardware resources
* IPv6 monitoring
The update has also corrected fixed a long standing bug in the
authentication scheme. This may, however, mean that as a subscriber
of the service, you have problems accessing your account.
As a subscriber, you may also have had access to recent data for
domains other than your own. With the added granularity controls,
this is no longer possible. Errors in the implementation process,
however may mean that you can no longer access data from domain(s)
for which you have clearance.
If you encounter either any of these two issues, or any other
problems, please contact us at . We apologise for any inconvenience
caused.
Kind Regards,
Ruben van Staveren Network Engineer, RIPE NCC
