The LIR Training Course material is updated continuously. New policies and modifications to processes or software are included to keep the information presented in the Training Courses as up-to-date as possible. Please find below the most important modifications:

  • slide #10: Updated the CIDR charts (with the exact numbers for K and M)
  • slide #14 and #80: Updated IP4 Address Pool - Now slide. Only 11% available
  • slide #73: Added a slide about how LIRs have to cathegorise all Independent Resources they have requested in the past

Handbook

  • First three Sections entirely rewritten.
  • Added many diagrams and screenshots to Section 2 'RIPE Database Basics' to illustrate how to create objects in the RIPE DB.

  • page 122: Added link to the document 'Independent Internet Number Resources - Contractual Relationship Changes between sponsoring LIR and End User'
  • page 144: Added a link to the document 'Provider Independent (PI) IPv6 Assignments for End User Organisations'
