What the RIPE NCC is doing

The RIPE NCC has developed a phased implementation plan to encourage legacy space holders in its service region to register their legacy space. This four-phase plan includes:

  • Trial phase: contacting ten RIPE NCC members personally to speak to them about legacy space
  • Phase two: contacting all RIPE NCC members with legacy space
  • CURRENT PHASE - Phase three: contacting non-RIPE NCC members that hold a /16 or more of legacy space
  • Phase four: contacting non-RIPE NCC members that hold less than a /16 of legacy space
