Legacy Space
Legacy space is the IPv4 address space that was distributed prior to the formation of the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) system.
Legacy space can be transferred within the RIPE NCC region, provided:
- The legacy space is registered with a member
- The transfer follows existing RIPE policies as agreed to in the Legacy Space Agreement

Before organising a transfer of legacy space either the transferring or recipient organisation is encouraged to contact the RIPE NCC to seek clarification on the processes and policies that apply.
