FAQ: Phase 3 Feedback Form
-
Are you still the responsible contact person for this resource?
→
-
The RIPE NCC needs to know whether the persons we are contacting based on the public information registered in the RIPE Database are still the correct and valid contacts for the assigned resource.
If you are the responsible contact for the resource, please choose "Yes". On the next page, you will be able to provide a preferred email address for future contact (if it's different from the email address we contacted you on).
If you are not the responsible contact for the resource, please choose "No". On the next page, you will be able to leave the contact details of the responsible contact person.
-
Is this resource in use by your organisation?
→
-
Independent Internet number resources can only be used for the network of the organisation the resource is assigned to.
By choosing "Yes", you confirm that this is correct.
If you choose "No", you indicate that another organisation might be using the resource.
-
Is this resource in use by another organisation?
→
-
In the previous question, you confirmed that the resource is not in use by your organisation.
If you choose "Yes", you can provide the contact details of the organisation currently using the resource in the next step.
If you choose "No", you indicate that the resource is not in use.
If you tick the box “I don’t know” you confirm that you don’t know which organisation is using the resource.
-
Which organisation is using the resource?
→
-
Please provide the organisation name and a contact email address (if known) of the organisation currently using the resource.
-
Does your organisation operate a Local Internet registry (LIR)?
→
-
It might be that your organisation opened an LIR after the independent Internet number resource we are contacting you about was assigned or that you did not provide feedback about the resource in the previous phase of the policy implementation.
If you answer "Yes", you need to provide your LIR's RegID in the next step.
-
Have you already entered or will you soon enter a contractual relationship with an LIR regarding the registration of the resource?
→
End Users of independent Internet number resources must have a contractual relationship with a sponsoring LIR of their choice or the RIPE NCC directly regarding the registration of the resources assigned to them. Please note that the End User Assignment Agreement must fulfill certain requirements and is probably not covered by the agreement you have with your ISP(s).
If you answer "Yes", you indicate that you already have signed or are in the process of signing an End User Assignment Agreement with an LIR. In the next step you can provide us with the LIR's organisation name.
If you answer "No", you indicate that you have not found a sponsoring LIR yet.
-
Do you have a contractual relationship (Connectivity Services Agreement, Managed Network Services Agreement, etc.) with an organisation present on the list of RIPE NCC Members?
→
-
Please check the list of RIPE NCC members to see whether you are already using services provided by one of the organisations present there. You might want to contact this provider and check with them if they will sign an End User Assignment Agreement with your organisation.
If your answer is "Yes", you will be able to provide the LIR's organisation name in the next step.
-
Have you considered contacting your upstream provider(s) or the company maintaining your reverse DNS if they are RIPE NCC members and are willing to sign an End User Assignment Agreement with your organisation regarding the registration of this resource?
→
-
If your ISP(s) are not going to sign an End User Assignment Agreement with your organisation, you can also check with other providers, such as those maintaining your organisation's network or reverse DNS, whether they will sign an End User Assignment Agreement with your organisation.
-
Where can I find more Information about Phase 3 Feedback Form?
→

You can find more information about RIPE NCC Membership and Direct Assignment Users here:
http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/member-support/become-a-member
