PGP Authentication
To enable our members to verify that mails from the RIPE NCC are genuine, email from the following email addresses is authenticated by the RIPE NCC PGP key signature.
- hostmaster _at_ ripe _dot_ net
- lir-help _at_ ripe _dot_ net
- new-lir _at_ ripe _dot_ net
- enum _at_ ripe _dot_ net
To authenticate our emails, you will need PGP software. We use GnuPG to implement PGP.
The RIPE NCC PGP Key Policy outlines how the RIPE NCC manages its PGP keys.
2013 KeyThe 2013 key tagged "RIPE NCC" will come into use on 17 January 2013 and is available for download. |

You should verify that the server certificate belongs to the RIPE NCC. The key published is signed by the Managing Director, the Chief Financial Officer and last year's RIPE NCC key
2012 Key
The 2012 key tagged "RIPE NCC" will come into use on 4 January 2012 and is available for download.
- This key, signed by the 2011 key, has an expiry date of 31 January 2013
- The key has ID: 0xDB5F4C5E
2011 Key
The 2011 key tagged "RIPE NCC" came into use on 5 January 2011 and is available for download.
- This key, signed by the 2010 key, has an expiry date of 1 February 2012
- The key has ID: 0x35D52F04
2010 Key
The 2010 key tagged "RIPE NCC" came into use on Wednesday, 6 January 2010 and is available for download.
- This key, signed by the second 2009 key, has an expiry date of 3 February 2011
- The key has ID: 0x1D9EB13C
2009 Key
The initial 2009 key tagged "RIPE NCC" was used from Friday, 2 January 2009 and is available for download.
- This key was signed by the 2008 key and expired on 15 June 2009
- The key has ID: 0x4BD4468C
- Due to unforseen circumstances, a second PGP key was issued for 2009. This new key tagged "RIPE NCC" came into use on Monday, 15 June 2009 and is available for download.
