Quick Tips for IP and AS Requests
Simple steps for requesting Internet resources from the RIPE NCC:
There are two ways of requesting Internet resources (address space and AS Numbers) from the RIPE NCC:
- Use the LIR Portal to request resources
- Email a request to the RIPE NCC
Both methods require RIPE NCC membership. In addition, the LIR Portal requires a user name and password.
Email an IPv4 (PA) request to the RIPE NCC:

- Copy the "Provider Aggregatable (PA) Assignment Request Form" to your email editor.
- Print out the "Supporting Notes for the Provider Aggregatable (PA) Assignment Request Form" and use it as a guide for filling out your" Provider Aggregatable (PA) Assignment Request Form".
- Check through the tips (1 - 8) before submitting the request to hostmaster _at_ ripe _dot_ net

The RIPE NCC provides regular LIR Training Courses in order to help the members with their Internet resources administration. The RIPE NCC strongly recommends these courses to any LIR contacts dealing with RIPE NCC Internet resources administration.
