The NRO participated in the 2013 IGF recently, hosting a booth to provide educational materials on Internet resources management and the open and transparent community policy development process facilitated by each RIR.
- 2013 Internet Governance Forum – Closing Remarks
In Montevideo, earlier this month, leaders of our organizations responsible for the management and coordination of the Internet technical infrastructure met to discuss among other things the future of Internet governance and identified the need for ongoing effort to address ongoing challenges. To this end, we agreed to catalyze community-wide efforts towards the evolution of global multi-stakeholder Internet cooperation.
- ARIN Elects Jason Schiller to NRO NC / ASO AC
ARIN is pleased to announce that Jason Schiller has been re-elected to the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) from the ARIN region. He will begin serving another three-year term on 1 January 2014.
- RIPE Community Elects Filiz Yilmaz to NRO NC / ASO AC
We are pleased to announce that Filiz Yilmaz has been elected by the RIPE community to the Number Resource Organisation Number Council (NRO NC). Filiz fills the seat being vacated by Hans Petter Holen and will serve a three-year term from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2016.

- NRO's 2013 Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey Results
The results of the NRO’s 2013 Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey are now available. This is the 4th global survey to be run and establishes that most organizations recognize the importance of transitioning to IPv6.
- APNIC Community Re-elects Representative to the NRO NC / ASO AC
During the last APNIC 36 Open Policy Meeting in Xian China, Tomohiro Fujisaki has been re-elected as representative of the APNIC region to the NRO Number Council/ASO Address Council. The new term will be from January 1, 2014 until December 31, 2015.
- Joint RIR response to ITU CWG Consultation on IPv4 Addresses
The five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) – AFRINIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC and RIPE NCC, have drafted a joint response to the ITU Council Working Group consultation on international public policy issues concerning the current global situation regarding IPv4 address space.
