The RIPE NCC's membership has grown steadily as the Internet itself has grown. It was in 1998 that we first passed the 1,000th member mark, and it has taken almost exactly one year to go from 8,000 to 9,000 members. What is particularly noteworthy is that the membership has continued to grow at a steady pace even after the RIPE NCC reached the last /8 of IPv4 address space on 14 September 2012.

The RIPE NCC's members come from across Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.
