Motivation for Nomination:

Wilfried has been an active member of the RIPE community and has chaired the Database Working Group for longer than I can remember.

I know Wilfried as a committed participant in the policy processes - adding not only the history and non-commercial perspective to the discussions, but also hands-on experience from his work.

His contributions and valuable insight are always welcome in the discussions. His experience from day-to-day operations at the university and academic network, participation in various international networking fora, as well as educating the next generation of Internet engineers, is very valuable to the community.

I have worked with Wilfried on the ICANN Address Council / NRO Number Council since its formation and value his contributions to the community at large.
