April Summary

- a total of 13,859,600

hosts were found, compared to
13,677,185 in March.
- the TLD de had the most real hosts, with
2,379,609 (approximately 17%
of the total).
- the largest change was in the TLD ru,
with an increase of 97,473 real hosts
in comparison with March.
- 25 TLDs were being ommitted from the count
at the time of generation of this page:

Notes
There were lots of problems this month unfortunately, ranging from
disk disasters to random acts of power shortage.
- the January, 2000 data had to be reused for uk due to
serious interruptions to the collection process.
- the March, 2001 data had to be reused for eg,
es and ro due to fresh data not
being available.
- the March, 2001 data had to be reused for ci,
ma, il, it, tr and fr
due to various problems with the data collection.
