The “Stichting RIPE NCC Personnel Fund” (the Fund for short) was established in 1997 in order to provide financial protection for staff members leaving TERENA and joining the newly founded RIPE NCC. The purpose of the fund was to grant an allowance to staff with a permanent contract in case of bankruptcy or liquidation of the newly established RIPE NCC. In 2007, the parties who set up the Fund decided that it had outlived its purpose and decided to close it. The capital of the Fund was returned to the RIPE NCC. On April 11, 2008, the board of the Fund decided to dissolve the “Stichting RIPE NCC Personnel Fund”.
